NEW OWNERSHIP AT HARDINGS

With a good deal of mixed emotion Fiona and Greg Harding announce that effective 31st March 2007 ownership of Hardings Caravan Services will pass to Andrew and Claire Gallop.

Andrew has had a previous career with Hardings spanning some 10 years. He initially started with Tom as a junior and worked his way into a manager’s role at our Murrumbeena premises. Whilst extending his management experience in other industries over the past few years he has retained a strong interest and desire to return to caravan repairs and servicing in his own right. Now his ambitions have been realised. He has the intellect, mechanical reasoning and customer ethos to do an outstanding job. No customer will be disadvantaged by this change of ownership. In fact Andrew has been mentored by both Tom and Greg and understands that a personal relationship is the key to success in our business so you can be assured this will continue.

Of course this has been a big decision for us and letting go of something that has been at the absolute forefront of one's mind for nearly fifteen years along with the broader family connection will take quite some time to achieve. We have enjoyed a special relationship with our suppliers, customers and staff that extends deeply beyond a transactional level. We have shared successes, failures, laughter, tears, prosperity and hardship, but we have always been able to look each other in the eye and communicate with honesty in a dignified manner. Obviously we extend our wholehearted thanks to you all. It has been an absolute privilege but now it is time for a change.

Greg will be attending the Caravan Show at Caulfield from March 28th to April 3rd to introduce Andrew and sign off at the same time. As always he would love to see you at the show. And what then? Well Fiona has returned to study and Greg is keen to have a few months off, finally finish painting the house before looking for a General Management position, probably with a slightly larger organisation.
